Uncivil War (Sense vs. Nonsense)
 
Niggas think that life is all about beauty and fame.
Black People are more concerned with knowing from which they came.
Niggas blame the “white man” for all of their faults.
Black People take the time and do the things that will change the results.
Niggas prefer going to jail over going to school.
Black People live life by a different set of rules.
Niggas sit and wait for what they feel they are owed.
Black People make demands, and are very bold.
Niggas think that welfare is just free money.
Black People think that is a joke, and that the government is funny.
Niggas will drive an expensive car while paying rent in the projects.
Black People will drive an average car, own a home, and invest.
Niggas think that life is just a game that we play.
Black People understand the importance of making the most of each day.
Niggas look at illegal activity as their only way out.
Black People know that working hard legally is the only way to gain clout.
Niggas use inequality as an excuse for why they don’t try.
Black People fight to be equal, knowing in the process some will die.
Niggas think that school is a place to go and chill.
Black People know that this is the place where hunger for knowledge is fulfilled.
Niggas think that providing a better life for your family is being a “Sell-Out.”
Black people understand that being a happy family is what life is all about.
Niggas always make reference to “Keep It Real.”
Black People don’t talk about it; their realness is something you can feel.
Niggas think that life is all about being tough.
Black People understand the importance of strength, but know that it is not enough.
Niggas kill each other with bullets from guns.
Black People build stronger communities, each one teach one.
Niggas will lie and cheat to get ahead.
Black People know that life in the streets has an end that is dead.
Niggas think that it is cool to fuss and fight.
Black People know that is cool to have peace of mind when you sleep at night.
Niggas let television images and stereotypes enslave their minds.
Black People move forward and refuse to lose or stay behind.
Niggas are selfish and think one track.
Black People are generous and always give back.
Niggas and Black People accuse each other because they don’t think the same.
But in the end they will need each other regardless of who’s to blame.
Take heed of what I write for this will be my only UNITY contribution.
I hope that all my people will come together before the Revolution.
